Foster a pet Month
June is National Foster a Pet Month ! Join Arlington Animal Services lifesaving efforts with our newly revamped foster program . Foster needs include : Kittens or puppies too young to be in the shelter environment , temporary ( short-term ) emergency neonate kitten fosters , animals that need a break from the shelter environment , animals recovering from illness or injury , and pets with special medical or behavioral needs .
Visit https :// arlingtontx . gov / foster to view the online foster application and foster orientation . Once completed , expect to hear from a Foster Coordinator within 48 hours .

Events Volunteer
Arlington Animal Services is seeking new volunteers to assist with daily care and enrichment of our shelter animals . From shelter housekeeping , cat and dog socialization , pet photography and more ; there is always something to do when it comes to helping homeless animals . Youth ages 10-17 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian . IN CASE YOU MISSED IT ...
Cash- A Foster Story Success 96 days . That is how long it took one very special dog named Cash to find his furever home . Thanks to the power of social media , Bernadette , who currently lives outside of Los Angeles , California , saw an adoption post about Cash and instantly fell in love . She flew to Arlington the next weekend and the bond was instant . Cash had found his forever person . Since the drive back home , everyone has settled in perfectly . Bernadette said , " Cash has been a blessing to my life , it ’ s truly a case of him saving me . He ’ s such a lover , and folks in my neighborhood recognize it , too , which makes my heart soar ." We are so happy for Cash and Bernadette !
