T
he disease that has caused the
global pandemic — Coronavirus
(COVID-19) — has hit much more rap-
idly than any of us could have pre-
pared for or expected. It’s a new challenge
for all as we come together at the com-
munity, state, national and global levels to
flatten the curve. But it’s the heroic efforts
of the countless healthcare workers on the
frontline of this crisis who are making the
extraordinary sacrifices and to whom we
owe our hearts and our thanks.
As states anticipate a growing need
for resources to help treat coronavirus
patients, northern New Jersey is fortunate
to be served by recognized hospitals and
medical centers which, as well as treating
patients affected by the virus, are contrib-
uting efforts to combat the pandemic. Each
institution is supporting the fight against
this disease in a unique way.
ENGLEWOOD HEALTH
Englewood Health’s commitment to
patients’ health and well-being has never
been greater. To help support patients and
their families during the Coronavirus crisis,
Englewood Health is offering and encour-
aging convenient telemedicine visits in the
comfort and safety of your own home.
In keeping with the CDC’s guidance on
social distancing and self-quarantining,
telemedicine visits allow patients to get the
care they need, when they need it, without
the exposure of sitting in a waiting room.
Whether you’re concerned or experiencing
COVID-19 symptoms, seeking preventive
or routine care or follow-up from a recent
procedure or surgery, a telemedicine visit
allows you to speak directly with your regu-
lar doctor, nurse practitioner, social worker
or other provider over a secure video chat
on your computer screen or by phone.
Behavioral health providers can do medi-
cine checks and counseling.
Telemedicine visits are made directly
through those doctors in the Englewood
Health Physician Network who are offering
this service. To find out more, call your physi-
cian directly. Once an appointment is set, the
office staff will email a weblink to log on for
your visit, along with detailed instructions.
