Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year for some businesses. Extended hours before the holidays, extra staff to cover shifts, larger stock orders to cover demand – it can take extra work.

One of the busiest manufacturers and also fictional (sorry to disappoint) places is Santa’s workshop. The elves are working tirelessly to get all the toys made for the children of the world for them all to be dispatched overnight by the deliveryman, Santa Claus and his flying reindeer.

The elves work all year round to produce the toys for the next Christmas Day. Whilst the workshop itself is a work of fiction, how would it operate in the real world and what sort of laws, machinery and supply would be needed for such a task?

Especially if the workshop were to operate in 2018...
