1. Wash your hair
Clean hair is key to achieving
volume since hair will begin to
accumulate oils when it’s not
washed. Use a volumising
shampoo and rinse thoroughly.
(Don’t use harsh shampoo as
they can strip your hair)
2. Find the best
styling formula
There is no doubt that voluminous hair is sexy and lit! It’s almost every girls
desire to have thicker hair with more volume. This month we share insider
secrets of how to add volume to your hair.

The secret to truly voluminous
hair is to choose lightweight
products that won’t weigh it
down. A lightweight formula
will help plump up hair strands
and lightly moisturize. These
also help create volume and
improve texture when
blow-drying. These products
come in a wide variety of
formulas and treatments
including volumizing shampoo,
conditioner, mousse and spray.
Avoid heavy styling creams,
waxes and thick serums.
3. Brush up your
drying techniques
A good blow dry is key to giving
your hair extra volume.
Blow-dry your hair using a
high volume hairdryer, turn
your head upside down for
maximum effect. Move the
blow-dryer quickly to avoid
heat damage. Also, make sure
to always blow-dry in the
direction of the cuticle, using a
boar bristle brush. These
brushes glide through your hair
more easily.
Remember, not to put too much
hair on one curler. Just throw
them in while you’re doing your
makeup and 20 minutes later,
you’ll have sweet volume.
4. Create some
curl
After blow drying create
texture & volume with a little
mousse. Using hot rollers will
add curl and bounce. After
sectioning and separating the
hair, hold the roller
vertically and place it in the
centre of each piece of
separated hair. Wrap the hair
around it, secure with a clip.
Allow curls to set and then
carefully remove rollers.
