That new car smell, that's what we have here. This issue of Alumnus is the first in our new digital format, and it has all the wonder and anticipation that you'd expect from that brand new family truckster that you've just driven off of the lot.

Over the next year or so, we hope to bring your attention to the new bells and whistles that this new medium affords its readership. As with the latest offerings from any dealership worth its salt, the highlighted feature of this new format is convenience, convenience, and convenience! “Going digital” allows timely content that you can enjoy on your computer, on your tablet, or even on your phone.

Greetings from the President

As we explore the distinct advantages of this new communications tool, the editorial staff will continually add new features and ways to present the content that will bring Alumnus to life.

We would also like to hear your ideas about what you would like to see and hear in our newsletter. It's an exciting change that we have made with this electronic format, and we want the entire University community to play a part in its success.

Alumnus Goes Digital

That new car smell, that's what we have here. This issue of Alumnus is the first in our new digital format, and it has all the wonder and anticipation that you'd expect from that brand new family truckster that you've just driven off the lot.

Over the next year or so, we hope to bring your attention to the new bells and whistles that this new medium affords its readership.

Greetings from the President

As with the latest offerings from any dealership worth its salt, the highlighted feature of this new format is convenience, convenience, and convenience! “Going digital” allows timely content that you can enjoy on your computer, on your tablet, or even on your phone.

In this issue, we get a special column from our long-term PAAC chair, Dr. John DeMatte.

Dr. DeMatte's service to the chair position and this University can't be overstated. The excellence of the institution extends far beyond our walls, and Dr. DeMatte is a shining example of that. We thank you for your service.

As I travel around to visit with alumni, I commonly encounter “How's Mel?” or “Is Mel Collins still around?” The answer is, “Yes, he is!” I am proud to say that Dr. Melvin Collins is still around and taking care of alumni and prospective students. In this issue, you can watch a great video interview of our Dr. Collins - WWII Veteran and Hero!

This video interview is just one of the distinct advantages of this new communications tool. The editorial staff will continually add new features and ways to present the content that will bring Alumnus to life.

We would also like to hear your ideas about what you would like to see and hear in our newsletter. It's an exciting change that we have made with this electronic format, and we want the entire University community to play a part in its success.
