Howdy Juniors ,

It is hard to believe that the year is already coming to an end . This past year has been packed full of fun times with friends and amazing cattle . In September , the NALJA board had an amazing fall board meeting in Boonsboro , Maryland , that was hosted by Thomas and Sons Farms . I would like to thank the Thomases for inviting us to their farm for a chance to see a different part of the country and even get to play a little dodgeball ! The NALJA board could not do what we do without amazing industry leaders and breeders . Stay tuned for more information regarding the new events coming to the 2024 NJLSC . With everything we have planned , this is one that you don ’ t want to miss !

Growing up , I remember always being told “ Don ’ t grow up too fast ” or “ You ’ re only young once .” But out of everything I was ever told , the one that never really stuck was “ live like there is no tomorrow .” When we are young , we think that we have all the time in the world in the palm of our hands .

This October , our Limousin family was hit hard by the loss of one of our juniors . While I may not have had the honor of knowing Tucker for very long , I learned many lessons from him . Tucker knew how to live like there was no tomorrow . “ Cherish your yesterdays , dream your tomorrows and live your todays .”

It is hard to believe that this is my third year serving on the NALJA board . I still don ’ t know where the time has gone . It is easy to get so wrapped up in our busy lives to stop and enjoy the moment . It is important to live every day like there is no tomorrow because we never know when our time will come to an end .

Juniors , I challenge you to go out and live like there is no tomorrow . When you are struggling with those difficult days , just remember to look for the good things in life .
