District Director Notes
Spring is upon us and everyone is starting to get busy with gardens, fieldwork, livestock, horses and everything 4-H. Be sure to contact your local agent or district office with any questions or concerns related to any of these areas.
We will be holding a joint Program Development Committee (PDC) meeting in Rush Center on April 18th. If you are on one of the PDCs in the Cottonwood District you should have received initial information about this meeting. If not, please contact one of the district offices or myself, [email protected], for more information.
Four of our Cottonwood Executive Board positions will have elections in November of 2023. There are two positions in each of our counties, Ellis and Barton, that will be having elections this year. Filing for the positions are done at the County Clerkâs office in the county in which you live. The deadline for filing is June 1st at noon. The four-year term will begin after the November election results are certified. A board member can serve consecutive terms and there is no limit to the number of terms a board member can serve. The Executive Board is responsible for overseeing our district budget, personnel and programming decisions. Please contact me if you have any questions.
