The town law defines a sex offender as “a person who has been convicted of a violation of a sexual offense,” according to the NYS Penal Code or under Federal Law “and who has received a Level One, Two or Three designation,” as per NYS Correction Law. Each Hotel or Motel owner must submit a competed application with the Town Clerk that contains pertinent information, such as their name, a description and location of the housing complex, the number of units and a description of the system used for registration of persons who are extended accommodations. Continued on page 4 Exterior work on the historic Milton Train Station is scheduled to begin in September. By MARK REYNOLDS [email protected] After receiving a green light from the state, the Marlborough Town Board on Monday evening approved a bid package that will be used to solicit work from contractors for the exterior work that is needed to finish the Milton Train station project. The bid package was prepared by Crawford & Sterns, an Architectural and Planning firm from Syracuse, NY. Sealed bids are due back no later than 2:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall, 21 Milton Tnpk, Milton. They will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.
