ENHANCE PRACTICES

Procedural Justice ( PJ ): Explore the use of PJ as a means of improving interactions between officers and the community .
Mental Health Caseloads : Examine the effectiveness of specialized caseloads for improving outcomes among individuals with serious mental illness .

IMPROVE SERVICES

Day Reporting Center ( DRC ) Evaluation : Assess how DRCs improve outcomes for people with addiction problems .
Swift , Certain , and Fair Sanctions : Increase the use of Accountability Courts for diverting supervisees to treatment rather than prison .

INCREASE AWARENESS

Justice Reinvestment Initiative ( JRI ) Repository : Create a web-based portal to display the progress of JRIs .
Justice Counts : Participate in a national initiative to share critical criminal justice metrics across states .

ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE

Probationer-Officer Interactions & Outcomes ( POIO ): Investigate how the types of interactions between officers and supervisees impact outcomes .
Integrated Dynamic Risk Assessment for Community Supervision ( IDRACS ): Develop an artificial intelligence software tool to model risk and inform responses in real- time .

BUILD CULTURE

Community Corrections Report Card ( CCRC ): Validate a standardized quality assurance tool for assessing community supervision agencies ' adherence to evidence-based practices .
Policy Assessment : Evaluate the impact and implementation of recent reforms at reducing probation sentence lengths .
