BRINGS ARTS AND CRAFTS TO CONYERS
F
all brings Conyers’ longest-
running festival, the 37th edition
of the Olde Town Fall Festival,
to be held on Saturday, October 21,
2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Coordinated by the City of Conyers,
the festival draws residents and visitors
to historic Olde Town Conyers for a day
of browsing among artists, crafters and
local merchants. From woodworking
and jewelry to baked goods and
crocheted items, there is a fantastic
variety of vendors lined up for this
year’s festival.
“Started by the Rockdale County
Historical Society in 1980, the city is
proud to continue this tradition of fall
fun in the streets of Olde Town,” stated
Sandy Fowler, Olde Town Conyers
Event Coordinator.

he Covington-
Newton Chamber of
Commerce presents
the 7th Annual Taste of
Newton Food and Business
Festival on Thursday,
October 19, 2017, from 5 to
8 p.m. The festival attracts
hundreds of people each year
and is a fun way to dine out
while listening to live music
and meeting with businesses.
Local restaurants and
businesses will have booths
arranged so families can
casually taste menu samples
and learn about services in
the area.
“This is one of our most
successful and favorite events
in the year. It’s a perfect
evening out for families to
socialize and get a taste of
different restaurants in the
area, all under one roof. You
don’t have to decide where
you want to eat because you
can try them all!” said Debbie
Harper, Membership Director
at the Covington-Newton
Chamber of Commerce.

them in support of
Breast Cancer Awareness
Month. Take a free test
drive during their Drive for
Prevention event on Saturday,
October 14, 2017 from 9am
to 3pm and Ford will donate
$20 to the Kimberley Chance
Atkins Foundation (KCAF).
There will be free food, fun,
and door prizes!
Courtesy Ford’s goal is
to get 300 test drives during
the event to raise $6,000 for
KCAF to fight breast cancer.
They are proud to select
KCAF as their charity of
choice during the Drive for
Prevention event. KCAF is a
local 501(c)(3) organization
that is dedicated to promoting
early detection and education
about prevention, treatment
options, and recovery of breast
cancer. Donations are used
to provide an opportunity for
women in our community to
receive mammograms.
The Drive for Prevention
event is in conjunction with
Ford’s Warriors in Pink
program and is the third year
that Courtesy Ford has done
test drives to raise money
in support of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. Last year,
