UCAS EXTRA OPENS

• Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at university or college .

If you ’ re eligible , during this period you ’ ll be able to apply to additional universities , one at a time .

• If you don ’ t get the offer you want in Extra , don ’ t worry – you can still use Clearing to add another choice .

LAST DATE TO APPLY FOR A COURSE IN EXTRA

• Today is the last date to add an Extra choice in Track for 2024 entry .

• If you don ’ t hold any offers after this , you will be able to add an additional choice using Clearing .

CLEARING CLOSES

• This is the final day to add a clearing choice on UCAS . • This is the ‘ equal consideration ’ deadline , which means course providers must consider all applications received by this time equally .

• Universities and colleges do not have to consider applications received after the deadline , although they can if they have spaces available once the ontime applications have been considered .

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ALL UCAS UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

• You can still apply with up to five choices until 18:00 ( UK time ) today . After this ,

your application will automatically be entered into Clearing .

APPLICATIONS AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED INTO CLEARING

• Clearing is how unis and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses .

• From 5 July – 21 October , you can apply for a course using Clearing if you ’ re not already holding an offer from a university or college , and the course still has places .
