Meet our Sermon of the Year 2022 Winner
Find out what it took to lift this year ’ s trophy
We are delighted to announce Charmaine Yip from Bromley as the winner of Sermon of the Year 2022 . Her sermon was on the theme ‘ Welcome the Stranger ’. Charmaine is truly an inspiration to all preachers ; she entered the event with very little preaching experience , but it was really impressive how she translated her skill of Christian writing into delivering a meaningful , spoken message .

Head Judge , Tobi Olujinmi made the announcement at the end of this year ’ s grand final , which was broadcast on the evening of Thursday 23 June .

On being told of her win , Charmaine said , “ My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will stir up Christians everywhere to preach and proclaim Christ , not only from the pulpits but also through quiet everyday acts of loving kindness . Like Jesus , let ’ s STOP , LOOK and CONNECT with strangers , especially with those who are “ invisible ” and on the margins . Wonderful things might happen …”
