February brings so many celebrations,
The Asian Lunar New Year, Black History Month, National Counselors Week, Heart Week, and Mardi Gras.
Shout out to Cailu Jiang for sharing his culture with DJOD and teaching us a few phrases in Mandarin during our Morning Meetings.
We’ve also been learning daily facts about Black History and our students walk the hallways to learn and celebrate the over 30 Historical Black College or University (HBCU). During Heart Week each day will represent one of our HEART tenets.
Please share ways on the Discovery Facebook page on ways you are highlighting Black History Month and the Asian New Year with your family.
Information will be shared soon about the new way we will pivot to celebrate Mardi Gras on the campus of DJOD.
