You see a lot of GMC Sierras around town . Thanks to its sharps looks , utility and power , you ’ re going to see a lot of 2022 GMC Sierras 1500 on local streets as well .

The 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate is the most advanced and luxurious pickup in its class . Head-turning features include many exclusives such as a new grille and headlamp designs for an overall wider appearance that helps give the vehicle its signature look .

Arena Buick GMC CEO Joe Arena said the GMC Sierra has been popular for a number of reasons .

“ People like the full chassis and a big power train , and you know why ? Because they have ample power and ride

comfortably , harkening back to the fullsize cars of yesteryear ,” Arena said .

Women and men love driving pickups , particularly the GMC Sierra , he said .

“ This traditionally was a male product , but it ’ s shifted in the last 15 years ,” Arena said .

According to Arena , there are two GMC Sierra offerings for the 2022 model year . The first is a carryover of the 2021 model year , which is called the Sierra Limited . The second is a total restyle with two models added to the portfolio : the GMC Sierra AT4X and the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate , Arena said .

Andy Storms of Arena Buick GMC said pickup trucks have seen a huge gain in popularity in Hammonton and in general

in recent years .

“ It ’ s become more and more popular — trendy . People like to sit up higher with more command of the road . These are not like the old w o r k

trucks of

40 to 50 years ago . They have all the amenities of a car , and they ride like a car ,” Storms said .

There is a lot of brand loyalty to the

Sierra , according to Storms .

“ People see it as a step up from other trucks , quality and equipment-wise ,” he said .

One of the more intriguing features of the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate and AT4X models is the available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology , which enables drivers to travel hands-free on more than 200,000 miles of roads and counting , of compatible roads in the U . S . and Canada .

In December GMC continued to look toward the future when it gave a first look at its upcoming all-electric Sierra pickup , which will launch only in the popular Denali trim . According to a release from GMC , the truck will be revealed in 2022 .
