This year’s topic was “Cure for the Common Leader: What Physicians & Managers Must Do to Engage & Inspire Healthcare Teamsl” The workshop was hosted by Joe Mull, professional speaker and author of the book of the same name. His goal throughout the morning was to make those in attendance the best leaders they could be. McGuire Throughout the morning, Mull emphasized engagement and communication with staff as well as recognizing employees who were engaged, somewhat engaged and actively disengaged. Director of Marketing [email protected] MEMBERSHIP STATUS “If our goal is an outstanding patient experience, that only happens when those folks encounter caring, engaged teams,” he said. “Find what those conditions for engagement are, and what you can do to cultivate and nurture them every day. Office managers and physicians alone can’t do it. They need to partner together to make those changes.” As of October 2016, active GLMS membership numbered 1,896.
