Dear Moberly High School Parents and Community,

As principal of Moberly High School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. Our mission at Moberly High School is “Educate to Succeed.” Successful Attitudes, Academics, and Activities are what we are challenging our students to focus on and strive for excellence. Additionally, we want each of our students to grow and to be career/college ready by the end of their four years. At MHS, we have excellent teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze achievement data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. We believe all students should graduate from Moberly High School prepared for the demands of postsecondary education, meaningful careers, and effective citizenship.

We hope you find our website and newsletter helpful and informative. All of the information we send out via email will also be found on the website. Our monthly newsletters are emailed and can also be found under the SWORD icon on the website. We have entered dates for activities and events on the school under the “calendar at a glance” section. Additionally, we have two Twitter accounts (@moberlyHS and @moberlyAD) we will use to send out updates and quick announcements as we go through the school year.

I am honored to be the principal of Moberly High School. It is truly a privilege to be part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at 660.269.2660 or a [email protected].

Once again, welcome back! Together, let’s make it another great year!

Yours in Education,

Zach McMains
