Cottonwood Connections September 2022

September 2022

Greetings from the Director:

With the first day of fall just around the corner I think we are all looking forward to some cooler days and some much-needed moisture. Kansans are blessed to have four distinct seasons, even though sometimes fall and spring are shorter than I would like.

I hope you will take a few minutes to see what is going on in the Cottonwood Extension District. Besides the face-to-face programs that Extension is well-known for, watch our Cottonwood District website and Facebook page for messages and links to on-line learning resources that you can take advantage of whenever you have a few spare moments.

As our team members are completing end of year reports and planning for 2023 programming, we would love to hear from you. What relevant programs would help you navigate in our ever-changing world?

I would invite you to consider joining one of our program development committees, (we call them PDC’s) to let your voice be heard. We have four PDC’s to choose from: Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science, 4-H and Youth Development, and Community Development. We had a lively conversation at our recent Family and Consumer Science PDC meeting, discussing how to best reach underserved audiences.

Happy Fall!

Donna Krug, District Director
