The Airports Authority ’ s Office of Public Safety maintains the safety of the airports in our nation ’ s capitol and the Dulles Toll Road while conducting an important security mission . Law enforcement officers , firefighters and dispatchers maintain constant vigilance against increased security threats .
Responsibilities cover a diverse and ever-changing community of global travelers , airport employees and regional mutual aid response . We employ highly skilled , highly motivated public safety professionals who are committed to operating at the highest levels in 2022 . The Airports Authority Police and Fire departments responded to more than 179,000 calls for service that came into the Public Safety Communications Center .
