Can POP XG™ be mixed with developer to make it last longer?
• No—it’s a direct dye system, which means there are no dyes available to oxidize.
• Mixing POP XG™ with developer will inhibit performance.
Are there any tips for greater longevity with warm and cool colors?
• For better longevity with warm tones such as peaches, pinks and oranges, add small quantities of Red.
• To increase longevity in cool tones such as purples, teals or greens, add small quantities of Blue.
Can I add POP XG™ to my permanent or demi-permanent hair color formulas?
• No. POP XG™ is a direct dye system that is not formulated for mixing with oxidation dye.
• Intermixing could result in unwanted tones and unpredictable outcomes.
POP XG REDUCER
DIRECT DYE CORRECTOR
WHAT IT DOES:
• Provides controlled lift of unwanted direct dye pigments while
maintaining the condition of hair.
HOW IT WORKS:
• No-ammonia persulfate powder mixes with developer or water
to gently break down and reduce the intensity of direct dyes.
BONUS:
• Ideal solution for stylists to help change tonality of semi-permanent
or direct dye-based products.
TO USE:
• Mix one packet of POP XG™ Reducer with 3 fl. oz. (90 ml) of
10 or 20 volume Paul Mitchell® Cream Developer.
• For more gentle removal, mix with 3 oz. of water instead of developer.
• Process for 5-45 minutes at room temperature, check every 5 minutes
for desired correction and/or removal.
