Laurelwood Arboretum unveils its much-anticipated sculpture trail

One weighs as much as a mature elephant . Another rivals the height of afull- grown giraffe roaming the African savanna .
But the figures in this leafy habitat aren ’ t going anywhere : They are sculptures , some chiseled from blocks of granite and some fashioned out of steel . Fifteen of them are now included in A Sculpture Trail , aman-meets-nature exhibition that officially opens on Sept . 18 at Laurelwood Arboretum in Wayne .
