Supporting the Next Generation of Preachers

Supporting and resourcing preachers is LWPT ’ s cause . Each year , through your generous donations , we ’ re able to assist a new cohort of preachers through their journey of study and learning and help them reach their ultimate goal of a vocation in ministry to spread God ’ s word .

Every year we receive a greater number of grant applications from young preachers than we are able to help . In today ’ s times , with the cost of living crisis , housing crisis and the squeeze on funding for education , more and more young preachers are , understandably , asking for our help and of course we would like to be able to assist them all .

In recognition of this , we ’ re launching a brand new initiative , LWPT Alumni . Essentially we ’ ll be asking everyone who has previously benefited from LWPT ’ s support to join us and work with us to assist preachers who are in financial need .

With our help , we ’ d like our alumni to spread the word about LWPT amongst their church , congregation and community and become our ambassadors . As they carry out this work they will make a significant difference .

We ’ ll be launching LWPT Alumni later this month , starting with a new page on our LWPT website and an email invitation to join us . As the project moves forward , we ’ ll be posting stories and pictures of Alumni activities and engagement with churches and communities .

We ’ ll also be producing a quarterly , news-led email for Alumni members in due course . Look out for our promotional campaign over the coming weeks and months .

Phases two and three of this project will be rolled out later in the year . These will see initiatives to encourage more grant applications and present opportunities for our wider supporter base to become involved .
