Over the past year, through Healthcare Georgia Foundation’s Two Georgias Initiative, eleven rural coalitions have convened scores of representatives from diverse sectors of their communities, listened to the needs of local residents, and designed plans to improve health and healthcare for rural Georgians. 6 “Instead of bringing a program to the community, we’re letting the community tell us what they need,” said Olive Wedderburn, a coalition member of Collaborative Impact for Decatur County.
