Letter from the President

“ See , I am doing a new thing ! Now it springs up ; do you not perceive it ? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland .” — Isaiah 43:19
All things new — a phrase we have used a lot lately at Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation . After decades in Barnett Tower , we have a new home — 301 N . Washington Ave . If you are familiar with the historic Sons of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum , you can walk out its front door , look across Elm Street and see the BSW Administrative
Building . A hub for medical administrators , executive leaders , clinician trainings and other integral functions that make our healthcare entities tick , the open space cultivates collaboration and allows for easy access to the Baylor University Medical Center campus . The big windows with views of the hospital and the stories of patients displayed throughout the building motivate our team ’ s contributions to the amazing work going on across our System .
And what is a new location without new people ? You read in the last Compass of the promotion of Christina Goodman to
VP of development . We are also excited to have our passionate , veteran colleague , Cynthia Krause , focusing her expertise as VP of strategic philanthropy , guiding and facilitating important gifts that will significantly impact the mission . In addition , we are building out the development team with two new major gift officers — Tim Moore , a familiar name to many , has returned to the Foundation , and Myka Boos has also joined the team . Each brings unique capabilities and unbridled dedication to our mission .
You will also see familiar and new names joining our Foundation Board . These board members bring valued perspectives and an inspiring commitment to the community , and all arrived with a common question : “ How can I help ?” This eagerness to contribute gives me confidence in the impact we can make together to enhance patient-centered care .
I hope you can feel the buzz and energy we have been experiencing throughout this movement . I am so grateful for the support we ’ ve received both internally and externally as we continue to expand our work for greater good . While we celebrate all things new , we remain steadfast in supporting Baylor Scott & White ’ s Mission and serving our community .
