SUMMER 2023

On April 28 , 2023 , hundreds of MAA members celebrated Arbor Day by donating professional tree care to worthy sites across the state . Since 1979 , MAA members have united the industry around giving back while raising awareness about the importance of tree preservation and proper tree care .

MAA ’ s Arbor Day of Service Group Celebration Francis William Bird Park • Walpole , MA

Conservation and preservation were the focus of the day at Bird Park in Walpole , MA . This well-loved community park featured a diverse range of mature trees , sprawling meadows , rambling brooks , and beautiful stone bridges .

The Trustees rolled out the red carpet for more than 150 member volunteers . Members worked throughout the morning to safety prune , remove hazardous and invasive trees , and plant many new trees that will live on at Bird Park for years to come . At the end of the workday , a delicious cookout was generously provided by the Trustees , along with a fun-filled gift bag .

During the ceremonial tree planting Nicie Panetta , Interim CEO of The Trustees addressed the group and said , “ It is my honor to be here today to see all of your fantastic work , and to thank you for your generosity in dedicating your
