NEWS FROM THE GREATER LOUISVILLE MEDICAL SOCIETY
THE 2017 WEAR THE WHITE COAT
EXPERIENCE IS UNDERWAY
GLMS President Dr. Rob Zaring welcomed 2017 participants
to the Pre-Op breakfast.
EXPERIENCE
This year’s seventh annual Wear the White
Coat Experience began at the historic Lou-
isville Water Tower, thanks in part to a
grant from the GLMS Foundation. There,
GLMS welcomed physicians and Louisville
leaders to a ‘Pre-Op’ breakfast as the sun
rose over the Ohio River.
Dr. Josh Meier and Sen. Julie Raque Adams were ready for a
day of shadowing!
I promise you’re in good hands. You have some of the best physi-
cians in the city here to show you what a day in their life looks like.”
After the breakfast, GLMS provided flu shots for any participants
interested. To follow along with this year’s experience, look for
the hashtag #GLMSWhiteCoat on Social Media!
More than a dozen medical specialties were represented by the
physicians in attendance this year, allowing the shadowers expo-
sure to the average day of a wide variety of hard working Louis-
ville physicians. State Representatives, Senators, metro council
members, CEOs, high ranking business officials and more were
each partnered with leading physicians and excited to Wear the
White Coat. INSIDE THIS ISSUE
