Tell us about your musical background My earliest memory , in this musical journey , is of being a three year old girl , sitting on the back porch of my house , listening to my dad play his box guitar and sing traditional Christian melodies and nursery rhyme songs . I was intrigued by the beautiful sound that he produced via his fingers , and this inspired me from that age . Therefore , my Dad , a devoted Christian , husband and teacher , was quite instrumental in the early years of my singing . At age five , a church sister suggested to my Dad that I should enter a singing competition held by the Christian Education Department of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies , St . Vincent and the Grenadines district ; I was the only child in the competition , but I won . After accepting Jesus Christ at age eight , I knew I was ready for ministry . I would have my grand rehearsal everyday in the shower , turning our bathroom into my first studio . I sang the lyrics of many Gospel hits as if they were written by my own pen , to my neighbours ' delight , who would comment on the enthusiasm of my singing . At age thirteen , I was called into music ministry via prophetic ordinance , and I began to function as a worship minister hence .

At what point in your life did you realize that you wanted to use your voice and music to share your message ? Having already been recognized as a soloist by the members of my local church , at age eighteen , I realized that I wanted to take my message through song past the church walls . This lead to my entry into the Digicel St . Vincent and the Grenadines
