Meiling is the recipient of many awards including Trinidad ’ s highest national award for long and meritorious service to Trinidad and Tobago ’ s business sector , the Chaconia Silver Medal .

In 2013 Global Woman of Purpose Summit named her one of top five global designers and Caribbean Fashion Week in 2008 presented her with the Grand Master of Fashion Design Award .

She has designed and dressed many Caribbean celebrities including Miss Universe 1998 Wendy Fitzwilliam , Rapso Artistes 3Canal , Soca Artiste Machel Montano and David Rudder . She has also collaborated with Emmy Award-winning costume designer , Peter Minshall on his Carnival productions .
