Pathways to CSIRO careers in tech , design , nursing and engineering

TAFE NSW is running an exciting new pilot program in partnership with the CSIRO to inspire high school students in Western Sydney into STEM careers .
The pilot program is part of the CSIRO ’ s Generation STEM program , a $ 25 million NSW Government initiative over 10 years to help engage and develop our future STEM leaders .
STEM skills are already in high demand , growing 1.5 times faster than demand for other jobs .
The program is over seven weeks at TAFE NSW Kingswood and Mt Druitt with local high school students exploring a variety of career pathways including technology and design , manufacturing and engineering , nursing , dental assisting , sterilisation , healthcare and fitness science .
Teachers are delivering hands-on and fun learning experiences using state-ofthe-art teaching tools such as simulations , 3D printing and robotics .
